Orchestrated by Renny Harlin whose previous films have been either reasonably successful (The Long Kiss Goodbye) or absolutely awful (Cut-throat Island). Deep Blue Sea is very silly (mutant sharks chase people down corridors?! Please!) but great fun as the action set-pieces become increasingly OTT and the characters find the time to spout very amusing dialogue at each other. The stars including Samuel L. Jackson Stellan Skarsgard LL Cool J and Saffron Burrows all seem to be enjoying themselves and their levity is contagious. ...
