During his prison stretch he is reformed (although this is not the most convincing part of the film) and once he is released struggles to prevent his younger brother (Edward Furlong) from following his earlier example. The film shows signs of being re-edited at some stage and despite the fact that contains more than its fair share of extremely powerful and convincing scenes there are large leaps of credibility. More often than not though American History X shows signs of what it could have been which bode extremely well for Kaye’s career. ...
